Building Our Sacred Home in Kampala
The Coptic Orthodox Church of Uganda is embarking on an ambitious project to construct our first dedicated church building in the heart of Kampala. This sacred space will serve as the spiritual home for our growing community of faithful Orthodox Christians.

The Journey of Our Church
2022-09-15
Vision and Land Acquisition
Our journey began with the vision for a new church in Kampala. After months of prayer, we secured the perfect plot of land.
2023-01-23
Foundation Ceremony
The community gathered to lay the foundation stone. Local church leaders blessed the ground where our new sanctuary will stand.
2023-05-17
Walls Rising
The structural framework is now complete and walls are rising. Every brick represents the faith and dedication of our congregation.
2023-08-30
Roof Completion
The roof is now in place, protecting our future worship space. The community celebrated this milestone with songs of praise.
2023-11-15
Current Progress
Interior work is underway with electrical systems and finishings being installed. We anticipate our first service early next year.
